Real Solutions did a great job for us. We were extremely happy with the level of service, the rate and loved their interactive website. With the new focus on lenders to having every "i" dotted and every "t" crossed twice you need a company like Real Solutions tracking every document involved from start to finish. We called our old mortgage person, but after a week called RS. We already had our rate locked by the time our old mortgage person returned our call. I guess I will have to refer to the old mortgage guy as our ex-mortgage guy. RS also helped us with our vacation home as well and got us the same rate as our primary residence. Working with RS was a REAL pleasure. As a busy college professor, time is not always a luxury. However, not only did they ALWAYS make themselves available, but they also made the whole process SEEMLESS and SIMPLE. When I first started, I was quite amazed by how low our rate and fees were so I did my own research. After some serious due diligence, they won out head and shoulders above the rest and complimented a great rate and low fees with terrific old-fashioned customer service. For example, the lender's underwriters took longer than usual and we were afraid that we would lose our rate and with rates then in the high 5's and 6's I thought we were doomed. They got us a great rate but that's not the whole story. Our situation became quite complicated because we were actually getting two mortgages; one to refinance our existing home and another to purchase a second home at the same time. They coached us on how to best do this and made the whole process simple. I have to say I was a bit uptight due to the current economic environment but their staff was reassuring and always willing to talk with me, even on the weekends. Real Solutions LLC was a God-send during these very difficult "refinancing" times. The challenges that they faced to make this refi happen were many. They, however, managed to get through each one with a professional manner that brought us the results we wanted and moved us effortlessly to closing. Even when the lock-in rate had timed out not once, but twice, they covered our extension penalties for me so that I could keep my great rate! They also kept closing costs to a minimum, again paying out of pocket so that I would not over extend my finances.
